Life Purpose in your Fingerprints
"The purpose of life is a life of purpose." --Robert Byrne
We throw "life purpose" around these days like a ith denial, shame, and secrecy.
As proof, imagine overhearing this phrase: "She's such a victim."
What tone does it have? Is there any compassion there?
But what is a victim, really?
The dictionary describes a victim as "a person harmed, injured, or killed as a result of a crime, accident, or other event or action."
Nowhere in that definition is the victim blamed for what happened. Yet we've assigned negative status to victims.
Isn't it time to change that?
We've all had experiences that have hurt us. We've all been a victim at one time or another. And there are different degrees of hurt. Sometimes we may feel that we will never get out from under it, that there is no hope for personal power. But there are things we can do to step out from this umbrella of shame and guilt. There are tools we can use to move through victimhood cleanly.
Come explore this fascinating, timely topic with me in my upcoming online group, "Moving through Victimhood."
In this 3-month exploration, we will gently and safely explore:
- The 4 Phases of victimhood
- Where we get tripped up and hang on to victimhood, long past the event
- The 5 ways victimhood can show up in our lives
- When did I become a victim? Our own stories from our past and how they still define us (positively and negatively)
- Why people can feel challenged to move out of victimhood on their own
- What we can do to change our self-image, to move forward with more peace, power, and purpose
- How to empower our clients to do the same
Join me in this new approach to an old, outdated dynamic!
Group Format
This group will consist of a combination of weekly online group classes and private 90-minute sessions.
Each class will begin with a brief check-in and follow-up from the previous week's learnings and practices.
There will then be new information presented, with discussion to follow.
One student per week will have an opportunity to receive the focus of the entire group during "Spotlight Time." During Spotlight Time I will work with you to ask questions, tell stories, and use EFT Tapping and Scientific Hand Analysis to help release old tensions.
To wrap up each class, we will debrief from Spotlight Time, discuss practices for the interim before the next class, and appreciate the heck out of each other.
Each student will also receive three private coaching sessions with Michelyn, online, to address specific needs.
Who Should Join this Group?
This online group is for those who have done some work around changing their victim story.
It is for those who already have a toolbox of supportive techniques for calming and re-centering in the face of stress.
It is for women and men who can talk about their victim stories without being unduly triggered.
It is for those who are curious about exploring a deeper level of acceptance and ownership of their victim stories.
It is for those who are open to new ways of activating healing. We will be using Scientific Hand Analysis and EFT Tapping as well as lecture and interactive discussions.
If you are interested in joining this group, start by emailing me and setting up a free consultation to determine if this is a good fit for you. Once that is determined, you can come back to this page and register.

Why am I Offering this Group? This topic calls to me because I've had experiences that label me as a "victim." I've experienced the consequences of these experiences. And yet, I've never really "felt" like a victim. The tricky truth is that my deepest healings have come when I've been able to accept the concept of being a victim; when I've felt safe enough to surrender to that label, just for a moment. Being able to fully feel those powerless feelings while being awesomely supported by others, has enabled me to have compassion for myself and others, and to let go of the resistance that had kept me down. I want to share that knowledge with you. I want you to know what it's like to feel safe enough to surrender to victimhood. It only takes a moment, and then the power slips in! Your story will never sound the same again. |
